Kurt Steele Lessons in Leadership

I am entering in this section of the blog tonight because my wife and I have made a decision to really pattern our life after a model of leadership that is successful.  Only follow those who have current fruit on the tree.  I am going to chronicle my pilgrimage because I feel that I have to admit that I though of myself as a leader but then I really evaluated my fruit and came to a conclusion that I must be coached and mentored by men and women who had what I wanted in life.  In other words, if I wanted to master an instrument, find a teacher that could play better than me.  If I wanted to master finances, find a financial coach who was getting the results of financial freedom.  If I wanted an amazing marriage, associate with those who had amazing marriages.  We want  on a search and found several in each are who had current fruit on the tree and began to focus on our LIFE.  We found people who were mastering 8 areas and we focused on these areas:

Faith

Fitness

Family

Finances

Freedom

Following

Friends

Fun

These areas covered a life intentionally lived on purpose.  We began this journey together as husband and wife.  I can say that it is has been amazing.  The key is consistency.  This is a journal of our journey as we strive for excellence in these areas.  I can say that it is fun and it is an adventure.  We are reading and listening to speakers who have fruit on the tree in these eight areas.  We are also submitting to mentorship and coaching.
