Leadership is about Developing Consistency – Kurt Steele
All great leaders manifest consistency in their character to truly lead. In fact, consistent habits are produces by consistent thoughts. What do leaders do consistently? They read, they exercise, they think affirming thoughts, they form consistent habits of success. The key is consistency. I am learning to grow my consistency in small areas which are making a huge difference in my life.
I was listening to a speaker who was teaching on dream building. Chris Matis taught us that many are afraid to dream big because we do not feel like we deserve the huge dreams. This can make us angry and the only solution he said is to “serve more people consistently. Wow! This hit a home run for me.
I am beginning to look at my calls each day as a way to connect and serve more people. This has made such a difference in my business and life. Look at the truly powerful and great leaders in the world. Look at their attitude toward service. Servant leadership is the only way to focus your life. How can you work on consistent service?
Leaders consistently grow by reading. Readers are leaders. Men and women who are committed to life long learning will change the world. I am not focused on stagnant living. I focus on outreach and growth, applying principles to impact my life. These are a few leadership lessons for my life in the area of consistency.
